Officer Ng

August 4th, 2009

Been doing enforcement in JB. What’s “enforcement”? Well basically its like a Police Officer, Customs Officer and Office Boy all into one =)

But i’m not here to talk about work. (or rather work im not passionate about). I’m here to inspire you guys with something juicy I discovered on the newspaper while killing time in the office. Oops hope boss doesn’t see this =P

So I was reading this interview with a Forex expert coz I was interested in what its all about. But what really struck me wasn’t the forex stuff, it was some random words of wisdom provided by the Forex guru in response to one of the questions:

Q: Please share with us your four step plan for success

A:

1) Choose a truly meaningful goal (one that would blow you qaway if you achieve it) and not something you are not passionate about.

2) Define what needs to be done with surgical precision – Clarity is POWER – if we know everything that needs to be done, we are 1000x more closer to that being our reality.

3)Schedule it and lock the door behind you. Make is an unmovable appointment and do something that commits you 100% – make it more painful to back out.

4) Get around the pathwalkers. (in other words go spend time with like minded people) because their reality and beliefs are consistent with yours – and this will rub off you.

There you have it. 4 Simple sentences which are really sound advice in my opinion. Especially point 2. We all should write down exactly what we have to  do in order to achieve our goals. I have done that already and I will be applying it ASAP.

A Challenge to myself

May 31st, 2009

Dear Khaiyong,

I hereby challenge you to QUIT your 8-5 job by the end of your 1 year term at the hospital.

You have until November 17, 2009 to prove that you can have a stable online home business running on minimal hours a day. Thereby allowing you to double triple your success when you work on it full time.

Failure to complete the challenge will result in you living in suburban, internet-less conditions, working 8-6 shifts facing sick patients in an un-airconditioned environment. Do you accept?

***********************************************************************************************

YES/NO

Signed,

Khaiyong.

On writing

May 16th, 2009

I’ve never liked big chunky paragraphs. Ever since I was young I steered away for bulky text books and only read them when i have too. Heck, when I was in Uni I broke the record of not borrowing a single text book from the Library for 4 years! (wait, there was one I think coz I was forced to). That’s why I tend to keep my blog posts short and sweet. I don’t believe that you need lines and lines of sentences just to get the message across.

But then again, maybe i’m just too lazy :D

Anyway in an unrelated story, mother has started a blog selling me and khailee’s old tees. You got to check it out Here.

Note: Most tees are suited to me and Khailee’s body size. So if you are an “L”,  I suggest you just pass the word out to your M/S friends.
